Problem Note 67894: A SAS/SHARE® server might terminate while attempting to access a nonexistent data set in a metadata-bound library

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

If an attempt is made to access a nonexistent SAS data set within a metadata-bound library that is allocated to a SAS/SHARE server, the SAS/SHARE server might terminate.

On the first attempt to access the nonexistent data set, the SAS/SHARE server might produce a traceback in its log similar to the following and continue executing:

ERROR: Freeing Memory Not Allocated  Pool [110155960] Value [110287050] Kernel Pool.
Traceback for Thread [1102ec270] Kernel Pool

XMLParseDestroy+0x34
omiclos+0x7c
yharsv2+0xf4
yyhltrm+0xa90
yhlstep@AF3_1+0x78

However, repeated attempts to access the nonexistent data set can cause further tracebacks, and then the SAS/SHARE server terminates.

This behavior occurs only when the request is made from a client that uses Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) with the SAS/SHARE server.
